Future Hits Presents

The Great Leslie @ Hotbox
in Chelmsford

The Great Leslie is a metaphysical, Bond-like, Spartacus-esque being, originally in the guise of Tony Curtis in his crowning role, and now personified by four ex-cons sent down from an unspecified metaphysical plain as musical arsonists that have come together in search of their fortune. They have each attested that in another life they would be pirates if it weren’t for their crippling fear of water. They have racked up several successes in their short tenure, their riff-driven release ‘Money’ was crowned BBC Introducing’s Track of the Week. This was closely followed by their anthemic tonic to self-flagellation, ‘Out Of My Hands’, which features on Channel 4’s show Sunday Brunch. Their single ‘Everything From Last Night’, received airtime from the legendary John Kennedy on Radio X, with him calling it an ‘instant hit’. Their single, ‘That’s Alright’, was quickly picked up by BBC Introducing gaining multiple plays by Johnny Doom of Kerrang! Radio. This follows from their hard-hitting dose of indie, ‘See You Again’, which received airplay on BBC Radio Wales by Janice Long and also crowned BBC Introducing’s Track of the Week. Their summer single ‘Liquid Spells’ which is receiving unanimously positive reviews. Main Support: TBC Opener: TBC Artists wishing to register can do via our website.
